  What is a Giclée?

Giclée (gee clay') printmaking comprises a set of breakthrough digital technologies for reproducing fine art. The image quality of Giclée printmaking is so high, that the color and detail, the look and feel of each reproduction are indistinguishable from the original. And, Giclée technologies afford extreme longevity. According to independent testing laboratories, Wilhelm Imaging Research for example, you can expect your fine art Giclée prints to last for generations. This printmaking method uses brilliantly colored, stable UV pigmented inks and archival, lignin free, pH neutral, 100% rag, watercolor paper. Accepted by museums, galleries and fine art collectors around the world, Giclée prints are the next best thing to owning the original.

Some of the works displayed on this Web Site are Giclées. A signed Certificate of Authenticity guarantees the authenticity of each print. Limited Edition Giclée prints were made to the dimensions, details and colors of the original. They are hand-signed and numbered by the artist, Catherine V. Sickafoose. Unnumbered Open Edition prints also include the Certificate of Authenticity.

Catherine produces her prints using Cloud Watchers Publishing, who specialize in fine art reproduction. Staffed by digital imaging experts, who are artists too, they are unusually sensitive to artistic intent. Their artist clientele has said about the staff, "They see what we see." With their unique blend of artistic and technological expertise, they take pride in achieving the highest levels of color fidelity and image quality.

In the words of the artist, "Thank you for considering this work. I hope it brings as much Joy to your home, office or business as I felt in creating it."
