Brandy’s Restaurant & Bakery and Catherine Sickafoose Team Up to Support Women’s College Scholarships

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Brandy’s Restaurant and Bakery on Cedar, a 28-time Best of Flagstaff award winner, and local watercolor artist, Catherine Sickafoose, have teamed up for a second time this summer to donate proceeds from sales on July 9th for the women’s philanthropic educational organization, P.E.O. International.

Stop by Brandy’s on Cedar to meet Sickafoose on July 9th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and enjoy breakfast or lunch and support women in education.

“P.E.O. provides educational opportunities for women. We do this by offering scholarships, grants, awards and loans to help women enhance their lives through learning. In the last two years alone, our Chapter has helped 5 deserving women from Flagstaff get closer to their educational goals through our financial support. Longtime P.E.O. member, Suzie Green, assisted Catherine at the June event and said, “for a few hours of pleasant work and eating... Kelsey made it so easy for our chapter to collaborate with Brandy’s on this fundraiser. He generously donated a percent of the restaurant sales from the entire day to P.E.O. scholarships.”

Another member, Sharon Richards, commented, “A successful day AND my food was GOOD too!”

About Catherine Sickafoose

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Catherine Sickafoose has lived most of her adult life in Arizona. Transparent watercolors captured Catherine's heart when she decided to pursue her dream of becoming an artist. Painting from her own photographs or still life compositions, Sickafoose works from her Flagstaff, Arizona studio.
